Developing of the museographic project “Las Concepcionistas” Interpretation Center in Alfaro, to enhance the convent’s value and promote local heritage.

The project includes the creation of content, definition of resources, and development of the museographic proposal for the former convent of Las Concepcionistas, declared a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC). The objective is to present the convent as a entrance to the town and a axis with its surroundings.

An interpretive tour has been designed, that connects the history of the convent with the cultural, natural, and territorial identity of the municipality of Alfaro. This tour uses museography that combines immersive scenographies, digital resources, and interactive elements accessible to a wide audience. The project is part of the ecological rehabilitation, conservation, and enhancement project for the convent complex for tourism use, financed by the Next Generation EU-PRTR fund, in collaboration with Bergasa Arquitectura studio.
