Valle de la Lengua

Production of a tourism sustainability plan at destination (PSTD) which aims to promote the value of sustainable tourism of the towns located in the valley of the Cárdenas river in the Autonomous Community of La Rioja. This plan is based on idiomatic ecotourism as a driver of socio-economic development in the territory.

Valle de la Lengua includes the municipalities of Berceo, Estollo, Cárdenas, Baradán and San Millán de la Cogolla, where the Yuso and Suso monasteries are located, both declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites and custodians of the first vestiges written in Spanish. The axes of the plan establish as an objective the configuration of a territorial area based on learning, enhancing and developing activities around the Spanish language.

The project aime to generate business opportunities in a rural environment, face the demographic challenge and mitigate the climate crisis with a sustainable program to create and adapt diferent tourist infrastructures.
